Marshall Tucker Band: A Brief Bio
Formed in the seventies the Marshall Tucker Band produced a sound that fused rock, country and jazz. Their debut self titled album dropped in 1973. A spot touring with the Allman Brothers Band helped them to achieve major success throughout the years.
The seventies were stellar years for the Marshall Tucker Band, eventually achieving gold status for most of their records. Everything came to a halt in 1980 following the death of lead guitarist Tony Caldwell. Since then the band has seen several other members, solo projects and the death of another founding member in 1993.
The Marshall Tucker Band has continued on and 40 years into their career is still recording consistently and maintaining a loyal following by regularly performing.
